The Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi has shared its forecast for the next few days, pegging the conditions as "unfavourable for the dispersion of pollutants"

Delhi's AQI showed no improvements on Thursday, staying in the 'very poor' category. In regards with this, the Delhi Airport has implemented low visibility procedures to ensure safe operations of flights.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), key areas such as R.K. Puram (391), Jahangirpuri (375), and Rohini (377) reported particularly high AQI levels

At 8.30 a.m., Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 402, in the 'severe' category, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed.

Restrictions under stages 1, 2 and 3 would remain in force to prevent any deterioration of air quality, the CAQM said.

Residents are increasingly reporting health issues related to the pollution, including respiratory problems and eye irritation. The combination of thick fog, and toxic air has made life challenging for people of Delhi, with many calling for stronger and more effective measures to combat the crisis.

Delhi's air quality remains very poor with an AQI of 340. The India Meteorological Department predicts rain and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday, with dense fog expected on Sunday. Minimum temperature recorded is 8.

The IMD said thunderstorm accompanied by rains is expected in the national capital on Friday and Saturday, while a 'yellow alert' has been issued for the city.

Authorities have urged citizens to minimise outdoor activities, especially for vulnerable groups like children and the elderly.
