Hi, I've visited Safari West 4 times this calendar year. And I have gone at the 11 a.m. trips and the 1 p.m. trips.Both have been quite wonderful. When the weather is hot I think some animals seek more shade, but the setting is so open and wild and wonderful that you see the animals without any difficulty. I have not stayed overnight yet, but will do that sometime. I'[ve eaten in the food court and found it quite pleasant and the food good. The service is cheerful and helpful and very kind. This place is just wonderful. Enjoy.

Haha you won't see much animals from any room - or on the jeep ride for that matter... Expect everything to be really expensive, especially the poor-quality-food. If you want to …

Haha you won't see much animals from any room - or on the jeep ride for that matter... Expect everything to be really expensive, especially the poor-quality-food. If you want to have a good vacation my advice is: don't go there! This was the most disappointing vacation I have ever had. They advertise that you will see wild animals up close - the animals you will see on the jeep-ride are all kinds of antilopes. Although the jeep drives inside their enclosure, it's not like they will be right next to you. The few other animals they have will be closer to you in most zoos. Also, since it is cold in feb it will be freezing cold in the tends, so bring warm cloths to wear at night and maybe a few extra blankets.
