Hi Betty, Months later I am now just seeing this. I hope you went and if so you enjoyed it! I did not do any snorkeling. When I first went to Mermaids Chair it was really unknown, private, FULL of beautiful washed up dead coral just everything was clean and beautiful. On my second trip in 2014 I found it to be busier and less coral but still worth it! We walked all over and just relaxed on the beach
