Hello. As far was I know it will be pot-luck regarding views, regardless of what type of accommodation you choose. This is because the staff will just allocate what's available - the different types of accommodation are mixed up together geographically. Although the site is on a hill-top, the abundance of trees can mean some homes do not have far reaching views. As December should be a quieter time, why not email them to state a preference for a location with good views? I am sure they would accommodate this if able. Regardless of what plot you end up with, great views can be had from the specific site view point and other locations, when walking around the site and indeed when walking or driving in the local area. We really enjoyed our visit, so I hope you have a great time!

The swimming pool was open until evening I think (9pm or so) though times may change seasonally. You can drive down to Leiwen for dinner but I would not have thought it was easily walkable as the park is up a large hill which gives stunning views of the vineyards and villages below, however the restaurant on site had a good selection and also did takeaway with huge portions. We did not go as far as Koblenz but did Cochem in around an hour....
