Hi I am sooo sorry that i didn't get back to your earlier. Its run by the City of Mundaring and to my knowledge is a no dogs allowed policy, although I have seen people sneaks smaller dogs into the camp grounds. When we had a barbie there with friends there were Quendas (local variety of bandicoot) that snuck out to get fed the left overs. you can always check for updated policy on the Shire of Mundaring website.

If you want really, really good pictures of the night sky head a couple of more hours out of town The lake has lighting so finding a good dark spot will be harder. Best views I ever had was at the Karanjinis in the Pilbara but that's a whole different adventure
