There is no offcial boat like a ferry that goes there but surely if you ask around town at the riverside docks as well as random people you'll eventually find someone that whould take you for the right price of course. people usually take there own boats.
It depends on the length of the tide. It is getting smaller every year because of the silting in process in the river. As an average guess I would say it is about a 1\2 acre area.
