We just went super early to see the tide pools, the light house wasn't open. We saw crabs, sea starts, sea cucumbers. It was really slippery! We enjoyed finding the little critters! Full review by taraoneil

Tide charts are available online, searching “crescent city California tides November”. You may also contact the Del Norte County Historical Museum which can provide a local resource.
You can visit anytime as the weather is mild year round. Check the forecast and watch for storms. I think fall is best because there are often really nice days and less tourists.

One walks across the rocky, temporarily dry, channel followed by an uphill climb to the lighthouse where the tours begin. The docents stay in the keeper's quarters and offer tours 10am to 4pm, tides permitting, from April through September.
