Our group of 6 was made up of 3 sets of 2, myself and my daughter, 2 lady's from Canada, 2 men from England. None of knew about the others until the night before. It worked out very well. There were 2 solo hikers we met after we got back to the hotel they left on different days.. I believe you can request to hike alone. They leave everyday so to fit your schedule

Hi, sorry for the late reply, it cost me $1000 pp for 3 days safari. Serengeti, tarangire, Ngorongoro crater. Hopefully it will help you.
