From Baptist Roots, Many Branches. After realizing the changing needs of older adults in Dallas/Fort Worth, Buckner opened its first retirement community in 1954. Since then the organization has continued to expand, now operating six communities throughout Texas. Each community is designed to enhance the lifestyle of its Members and live up to our mission of Inspiring Happiness. Independent Living Members enjoy priority access to Assisted Living, Memory Care Services, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation care when that care is needed.
