You get a great reward with the very short walk from Lynton to here. Stunning views of both the Valley and also both coasts or the Bristol Channel. We came here on the Exmoor Coaster so sadly had lit…Full review by Jen_Andy_Lawson
Hi, where is the nearest car park to start this walk, and is the coastal walk suitable for a 20-week pregnant woman? It would be lovely to exercise with a view but I won't want to strain myself with it. Thank you.

In Lynton the best car park would be Castle Hill Car Park then head into town and take a right at St Mary the Virgin church onto N Hill Walk. That'll take you onto the coastal path after passing some hotels with some great views. Once on the coastal path its very safe and level (tarmac) with some bench seats for a rest along the way. Great views and fun to watch all the wild goats. Alternatively drive up to the Valley of the Rocks where car parking is easy in a field and walk around that area. Its not difficult and you won't have any trouble. Much easier than any of the Cornish coastal paths. No refreshments (but there are toilets) available at Valley of the Rocks so take a picnic.
How scary is this drive in a car? Not keen on heights will be in a vw polo and just for photos no walks

On a scale of one being on your sofa at home, and ten driving hairpin bends in the Dolomite mountains, or a viewing platform in Madeira over a 1000ft drop, I guess this rates as a two and a half to three at most. Hope this helps.

The cliff walk from the town of Lynton along the coastal path to the valley of the rocks is more than possible with a pram but it is a sheer drop down to the sea so obviously care must be taken and once in the valley of the rocks it’s relatively flat wth a well made up road. We did it all on push bikes and it was fine, enjoy and don’t forget your camera.
