Yes & yes. You need to pick up a fire permit at the beach in the morning. It’s $5 and you will need your car registration, car insurance info and your license. You will have to return the permit to the fire station the same night. The beach only gives out 15 permits per day only if the fire Dept allows permits depending on the weather and winds. With the permit they supply the fire pit. They put out the pits between 4-5 and you need to find the pit number that matches your permit, 1-15.
