My wife and I plan to high the trail the second week of May... We're strong hikers but don't want to have to bring/wear hiking boots just for this hike... Will good walking shoes be OK?... Will the weather likely be nice and will there be standing water in/on the trail (even if it is not raining)?... Is parking at Sublime, taking the shuttle to Maline, and hiking back the smartest direction?... We plan to park our car about 9:30 am. Thanks!
