The Captain was awesome and kept on the fish. The mates Red and Caleb are the greatest in the fleets they took great care of us while taking care of our fish and the galleyFull review by Edward M

Hi! Flying to Clearwater with family the end of August - 2 adults, kids ages 16, 13, and 10. We have never gone deep sea fishing so a little hesitant to book. (Also, some of us are prone to motion sickness.) Came across the Queen Fleet. Hoping to get some questions answered and any tips would be greatly appreciated! 1) Does the crew help “newbies” - teaching fishing basics, use of rod and how not to tangle, baiting rod, taking caught fish off the hooks, etc? 2) will they clean/filet the caught fish? Pricing? 3) are there any local restaurants that will cook the fish you caught? Has anyone ever gone straight from end of trip to such restaurant to have their fish cooked?? Will Queen Fleet filet/package fish up so that it’s then ready to be cooked? Or do I need to bring special containers/coolers? Do I need to make special arrangements with any of these restaurants prior to showing up with our own catches? 4) any tips on when best to book trip? Morning vs afternoon? Weekend vs a certain weekday? Don’t want boat overly packed. 5) any other suggestions that would make this a smooth fun day trip?? Thanks so much!

I took a total of 3 Dramamine because it was windy and the waves were tossing the boat around quite a bit, and i drank a 3 hour energy because Dramamine makes me drowsy. I didn’t have any problems. And i packed my own cooler of ice and left it on my car. Afterwards, whenever the guy was filleting our fish, he accepts tips “however much you think is enough” and i put the fillets on ice and drive them home and cooked them myself.
Q:
Do you have bathrooms on board?
A:
yes, they have male and female restrooms. small, but clean
Q:
Can you bring alcohol like vodka on board?
A:
yes, you can bring whatever you want with you onboard. the tricky part is, no glass bottles allowed. they do not mind at all if you bring your own "refreshments"
