Q:
Do you pick up at all hotels? Do you have any recommendations for inexpensive hotels?
A:
I stayed at Garden Palace, near downtown, fairly new with large comfortable rooms. There are cheaper ones, but this was nice and included continental breakfast.
Q:
What about single divers?
A:
We have lots of single divers come with us and yes, some meet the love of their life. We have had two marriages so far :) And no divorces. . . .yet :)

Hi PDA, i'm trying to arrange the time to come to Palau maybe even as soon as next month (May or June '17). Read all about your operation and it seems fantastic for me. Two questions: 1) I will be coming on this trip solo... I assume most people come as a couple. Is it easy for you to handle me as a solo diver in the group? Is this uncommon at PDA? 2) Do you offer Nitrox training? Never done it but would like to learn. Thank you! -josh

I see from previous ? that it is less expensive to do a hotel as opposed to live aboard. Could you rate the quality of hotels available? Also could I get an idea for a price for a package for a 2 week stay? 12 to 15 dives.

There is a wide range of hotel option available, ranging from basic economy to very nice high end resort. We stayed at the Palau Pacific Resort, which most acknowledge as the nicest resort for much of the Pacific. It wasn't cheap. A frugal marine biologist friend went diving with Palau Dive Adventures based on our experience and stayed at a much less expensive hotel in town and had a great time. The basic Palau Dive Adventure package is diving Monday to Friday, with 13 or 14 dives plus snorkeling in Jellyfish Lake. They typically don't dive on the weekends so guests can sightsee and the staff can get the weekend off, so for a two week stay you would probably end up with more like 25-30 dives. Check with Chris Lubba for specific pricing for hotels and dive packages. We're going back in October, staying at PPR again, and this time 7 friends are joining us because we had such a great time. We never considered a liveaboard. The ride out to the dive sights is very scenic, and everyone in our group is looking to enjoy the resort and Koror dining in the evenings
