Let's see ... we caught 7 marlin, a huge thrasher shark and a 70# wahoo in about 3 hours ... I would say we get a lot of value for money ! Highly recommended.Full review by Companion557370

How far out do you travel on the midsized boats? I recently did a sunset cruise and just past el arco we saw humpbacks and when I asked the crew members if fish like tuna, dorado, and marlin can be caught in waters so close to the coast they advised that they sure can be caught then. The reason for my question is because I get seasick when I’ve gone out very far and the swells get big. If I’m in calm waters like around el arco I would be able to fish there no problem. Thanks for any advice or answers

It really depends on how many of you will be going out. Most charters will charge around $500 to $750 for a full day on a busy 28 ft in length. Add $16 for license fees (purchase online) , tip and food. Bait is an extra $30. I use Pisces as they are the best outfit in Cabo. Good luck!
If we catch a bunch of tuna, for example, can we make arrangements for those to be purchased from us? Otherwise, can we just do catch and release for them? I was on a trip where we caught our limit of tuna and basically just donated them to the charter company as we had no means or desire to take them home with us and I imagine the crew already has more fish than they know what to do with. I'm almost certain that our fish were sold. If they are not sold, what happens to them?

We ended up donating our fish to the crew, our driver, and some of the resort workers at the hotel. Whether they sold it or ate it, they were grateful and I am certain their need was greater than ours. Not sure if that helps. We caught the max our license would allow for tuna plus 4 catch and release marlin between the two of us.
