My husband is a good birder and said the summer months are very good for viewing hummingbirds at the Paton Center. We were there in April and saw 4 different varieties. Years ago when we visited in July, we saw 7 different species. Happy birding!!

Don't know. This is a bird friendly place and one in which sudden movements would cause birds to flee. I'd bring the dog on the leash and the worst that could happen (if you're a couple) is that you'd have to walk the dog a short distance away while the other watches.
