We did a short but nice boat trip around some of the islands from the city marina. Interesting to see the uses and houses on these tiny islands plus the wildlife of the lake.Full review by purplemyrtles

I would like to take a longer tour of the islands and peninsula. What is available, and what is the cost? I'll be coming from where I live in Costa Rica. Have been to Granada once for 3 days, would like to see more.

I'm not sure if you're asking about steps down to the boats or steps into boats, but if you mean the former, I left from a landing with no steps, but I imagine there are other places to get into and out of boats. I imagine there are several types of boats, but in my experience they're pretty small and shallow and didn't have steps--you just stepped onto the boat and then down into it. So one step, I guess. I'm sure someone will help you, anyway, since the guides want you to have a good experience and many earn much of their wage from tips! :)

Hi Daniel, It's pretty hot and humid, I was there in April and I spent a lot of time sweating! Around the lake there is a nice breeze and if you're in the shade it is bearable but in direct sunlight walking around with your heavy backpack on it is pretty intense! Just be prepared to sweat a lot as it is definitely humid! Hope that helps?
