Its kind of in chunks but it overall is is 6.1 miles according to a website called traillink. Most of it is protected or exclusive trail. There are a couple of a stretches that are walking on sidewalks alonside the street. There are several places where there are street crossings as w ell.

Asked my friend who is a walker (I haven't been walking much lately). She told me that between the Park and Ride in Gig Harbor on Kimball and the Narrows bridge it is pretty flat. There are some slight hills walking north but I do see bikes on that part of the trail as I drive by. That is the new part, just opened recently.
