This was a great place to visit from the center of Santiago. obviously you have to discuss a price with the taxi to get you out there, but it was well worth it foreigners as usual pay more to get in.…Full review by markigscott

This is very important part of the history of Santiago de Cuba tand the whole Cuba. Old fortress was used by Spanish occupiers to defend from American attacks. Full review by NenaM128
interesting place. would like to know how can i go there from Santiago airport? seem that not far. any bus to there? and any bus back to town? pls tell.
Would you recommend making that extra journey from Trinidad to S/Cuba with the added expense of flying back to Havanna or should we make the most of the other interesting sites and sounds of west and central Cuba as we only have two weeks ??

It always pays to your time useful and fly back. The ticket is only about $100.00 - Life is short, make the most of it.
