Big let down. Mostly closed and full of low quality merchandise. Plus the harbour is bleak and the village has little to offer.Full review by timH9037MQ

Staying in Amble the beginning of July. Where are the dog friendly beaches, cafes, restaurants and shops? Dog will be with us most of the time so any suggestions welcome. Thanks x

The harbour area and Harbour village shops are dog friendly as is the beach south from the big white Harbour Masters house (I think that’s what it’s called), not all beaches are in peak season, best to check. We ate sitting outside the harbour cafe which was really nice and is ideal for those with dogs on a lovely sunny day. The new Amble Inn just outside Amble is dog friendly too inside and out....also, Warkworth just up the road from Amble is very dog friendly and one of our favourite places when we have our four legged best friend with us. Enjoy :)
